There's a Monkey on my back!!

Well I finally purchased Kooper a leash. Yes, we've been talking about getting a harness for Koop so that he can safely walk around in public. I wanted to get a cute one so I found one that is a monkey. It's too cute and Kooper actually wears it without complaining. He was funny the first time he tried to keep going when the harness pulled him back. He looked back at me like hey why can't I go any further, then he decided to just go a different way. He's too funny.

Playing Dress up

Oops this is the same picture as the first one, sorry.

Kooper has recently discovered other people's shoes. It doesn't matter what style, size or color he just enjoys trying to wear them. I had left a pair of my shoes out last night and he decided to put them on and walk around in them. He was able to get one on by himself but needed a little help with the other. Dad really didn't like that he was wearing women's shoes, but oh well. :)

Walkin'

Sarah, Bayley, Kooper, Chloe and I all went walking after school yesterday. I had never taken Chloe on a walk before. She doesn't really do leashes so... Sarah and I rigged something up. We took Kooper's changing mat and basically trapped her in the bottom cargo area of the jogging stroller. At first I was just going to put her in there but she kept jumping out so we had to "lock" her in there. I gave her a few of Kooper's star puffs as a treat. She ate a few of them but as you'll see in the picture she didn't eat all of them, and she left me a little "treat". I think she got a little nervous. Sarah made me take a picture of it, she said it was blog worthy. Thanks Sarah! :)

Look closely down at the bottom of the stroller.

She looks so scared.

And this is what I got in return for putting her down there.

Ron Clark

Me, Jenn and Sarah waiting for it to start.

Ron Clark

He was very animated!

Ron Clark, Jenn, Sarah and Me.

Yesterday I went with Sarah and Jennifer to see Ron Clark at Fellowship of The Woodlands. He is the founder of The Ron Clark Academy, he also teaches there. He's the 2000 Disney teacher of the year, he's written two books, been on Oprah and Good Morning America. He started out as a teacher in North Carolina and had a calling to go to Harlem, New York and teach there. You really should read his book or see the movie, The Ron Clark Story, starting Matthew Perry. He goes around now, while still teaching, and does motivational speeches. He was really funny and really makes you want to be a better teacher. We really enjoyed it! Check out his website: http://www.ronclarkacademy.com/

Wednesday's Walk

Sarah and Bayley on the swings.

Kooper climbing up the big kid slide.

He's ready to go.

WEEEEE! Aunt Jenn caught him.

Hanging with the boys. Kooper and Logan ready to race.

A nice day for a swing.

Just hanging out.

Yesterday we went walking with some friends of ours. Two of the other girls have kids and they went too. We started at the school and walked down to a park. The kids all got out a played for a bit. Kooper and Logan got in the swings and they went down the slide together. They will be running the school before too long. We had fun hanging out with our friends and it was a beautiful afternoon. We're going to try to start walking on Mondays and Wednesdays, we'll see how that goes.

Eating like a big boy!

He's trying so hard.

Wrong end!

He's concentrating so hard.

Just being silly.

Mommy tickling my feet. He can't even fit in the basket!

We gave Kooper his own spoon to eat with the other night. He had mashed potatoes, green beans and chicken in a bowl. I showed how it worked and then let him get after it. He actually did really well for his first time. He had a hard time keeping the green beans and chicken on his spoon but with a little mashed potatoes it worked! Here a few pictures I snapped during dinner.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Mommy and me in pink on Valentine's Day! He's my sweetheart!

Family picture on Valentines.

Jeremy and Kooper at SHSU game. Think Pink!

My Heart shaped bamboo from Kooper. It was sent to me at school on Thursday!

My flowers from Jeremy, also sent on Thursday.

Happy Valentines. Watch out ladies!

Today was a great day hanging out with my two favorite guys. We woke up and had breakfast. Then we went to Britni's basketball game. They lost the game but we loved seeing Brit. Gimmie (Kooper's grandma) gave Kooper a new cup and a dancing/singing guy for Valentines. It was Think Pink night at the game for breast cancer awareness so we all wore pink, even Kooper! After the game we drove to Babies R Us and did a little shopping. Then we decided to go to Marco's for dinner. Jeremy was going to cook but I remembered that ladies could eat free at Marco's so we decided that was easier, and there'd be no mess to clean up. Now we are home relaxing and enjoying the rest of our evening. Happy Valentine's!
